If the Lakers don’t get Anthony Davis via trade, they need to trade down in the draft and get a shooter like Joe Harris (BKN) or Jerami Grant (OKC) and pick a strong rebounder hustle player like Brandon Clarke later in the draft.
I’m very high on Brandon Clarke. We could get Clarke as low as 20th.
“The power forward measured 6’8 1/4″ and 207 pounds, with a reach of 8’6″, a standing vertical jump of 34.5 inches and a 40.5-inch maximum vertical. He also had a 3.05-second shuttle run and a time of 10.6 seconds in the agility test ” – Steve Silverman.
Brandon Clarke was a big time shot blocker at Gonzaga and averaged 16.8pts and 8rebs. We’ve seen players like Russell Westbrook and Kawhi Leonard come in as athletic defenders who later improved their offensive game drastically at the NBA level. I believe Brandon Clarke is one of the top role players at rebounding and defense in this draft. If Clarke improves his shooting we are looking at a Top 5 player from this draft.
Imagine Lebron and the core Kuz, Ingram, Lonzo and Josh Hart.
Add Brandon Clarke and a shooter, the Lakers would be long athletic, fast and very deep.
