The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired Anthony Davis for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart along with 3 first round picks. Davis is the player that the Lakers were hoping for ever since he requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Now the Lakers are in prime position to contend for a championship next season.

The Lakers are in need of a point guard after trading away Lonzo Ball. Kyrie Irving and Kemba Walker are the premier point guards in this summer’s free agent class. However, the Lakers may not have enough for a max contract to offer to a star free agent. Unless LeBron and Davis can convince someone to take less than the max in order to win a championship then the Lakers should fill out the rest of the roster.

Kemba Walker is the player that the Lakers need to recruit. He has never played with another all-star and has never had the opportunity to display his talent on the big stage. Walker was able to display his talent at UConn in 2011, which led to a national championship. The Charlotte Hornets are one of the smaller markets in the league. LeBron James and Anthony Davis need Kemba Walker.

The Lakers are also going to need veterans to fill out the bench along with shooters to spread the floor for AD and LeBron. JJ Redick is the player the Lakers need as the primary shooter. Redick is a huge fan of LeBron James and has called him the best player ever in the past.

Redick would enjoy playing with a pass-first Superstar like LeBron James. The glory days of the Lakers are back, A championship is coming back to LA very soon.
