Ron Adams is one of the assistant coaches on the Golden State Warriors. He joined the team in 2014 as apart of Steve Kerr’s staff. He is a defensive genius and helped Kerr orchestrate the Warriors championship defense.

Adding Ron Adams to the Lakers assistant coaching staff can help Frank Vogel with the team’s defensive mindset. It’s always good to have someone you can bounce strategies off in the same locker room.

The Lakers still need to fill out the rest of the roster and free agency begins on June 30th. The Lakers need 3 and D players to play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Davis is a top defensive player in the NBA and there is no doubt that he will be a defensive player of the year candidate. Ron Adams along with Frank Vogel can help the Lakers defensive woes from the last part of the season.

It’s going to be difficult to replace Lonzo and Ingram’s defense but the Lakers have no choice. Ron Adams is one of the most experienced assistant coaches in the league.

Ron Adams has been coaching over 40 years and has been a part of 3 championship teams in Golden State. If the Lakers can add him to Vogel’s staff, it will help tremendously.
