Most of us know the video game world is huge and fans of the NHL know that EA Sports puts out a premier product NHL(enter year here). There is an option to create your own player so today we are going to look at the “perfect Los Angeles Kings player”, or at least in my opinion.
First, we can look at the stickhandling of Alex Iafallo, the offensive awareness of Anze Kopitar and then the defensive awareness of Drew Doughty.
Secondly, we have the skating speed of Austin Wagner, the toughness of Kurtis MacDermid, shot power of Ilya Kovalchuk and the on-ice vision of Tyler Toffoli.
Next, we have Dustin Brown and his ability to deflect pucks, or deflection awareness, Michael Amadio and his shot accuracy, the hockey sense of veteran Jeff Carter and lastly, and most importantly, the hair of Adrian Kempe.
These things are fun to do during the offseason when there is not too much going on and it is pretty quiet. This makes you think of how you would, in real life, build or create the perfect hockey player. Of course, there is no right or wrong answer because everyone is open to their opinion by taking bits and pieces of other players. Goaltenders were a consideration as well, however, there are only two and my criteria was this had to only be of players that were on the main roster. This could be done with any sport or any league, and it is quite interesting to see what others come up with.
Whether it is pointless, stupid or tons of fun this allows you to be creative. Let me see your “perfect” Los Angeles Kings player. Put some creativity into it and share them so we can all see what you picture as the “perfect” player.
