The Los Angeles Lakers full 2020 schedule has been released. The Lakers have key games against the Clippers on opening night and Christmas Day. MLK day will have the Lakers go on the road to face their arch-rival, the Boston Celtics.

The first 10 games of the season, the Lakers will play 6 teams that did not make the playoffs last year. The Lakers have a great opportunity to start the season at the top of the western conference.

The Lakers biggest games will be against the Los Angeles Clippers. After Kawhi chose the Clippers over the Lakers in free agency, it has built up the rivalry of both teams in LA. All four games are spread out during the season. All four games are also on National TV. These games will be intense because of the personalities on both teams. Patrick Beverley is already an intense player on defense and for the Lakers, Rajon Rondo is the perfect competitor to bring the intensity out for the Lakers.

The MLK day game is bigger than playing the Boston Celtics. The Lakers will be on the second game of a tough five-game road trip. Four of the five teams are playoff teams from last season. These include the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia Sixers, and the Boston Celtics. The Lakers struggled last season in January and lost many games to bad teams. January is the time of the year that teams start forming into what they are going to be in April. By this point, some of the teams with no expectations are playing for something.

Best case scenario for the Lakers is to go 4-1 in this road trip but that will be tough because of the caliber of teams but also the timing of these games.
