The season is quickly approaching and we have a few things on tap before that happens. The first thing is the rookie face-off/developmental camp. Then the Los Angeles Kings will have their main camp and then pre-season games.
As reported by NHL.com, this season’s rookie face-off will be presented by the Anaheim Ducks September 7-10 at the Great Park Place and Five Point Arena in Irvine, California. The Kings will have 15 forwards, 9 defensemen and 3 goaltenders representing Los Angeles. Below are the Kings rookie camp roster, along with player numbers. * denotes Ontario Reign contract and ^ denotes camp invite.
Forwards include 28 Jaret Anderson-Dolan, 46 Blake Lizotte, *49 Mason Bergh, ^ 60 Joseph Garreffa, 63 Brad Morrison, ^79 Jonathan Yantsis, 87 Aidan Dudas, 89 Rasmus Kupari, 43 Drake Rymsha, 48 Mikey Eyssimont, 52 Arthur Kaliyev, *62 Stephen Baylis , 68 Samuel Fagemo, 86 Akil Thomas and 88 Johan Sodergran

Things around the Los Angeles Kings are starting to ramp up and us fans will have pre-season hockey before we know it. These players might not make the big club for a few more years, or maybe even ever.
**Alex Turcotte will not be competing in this year’s rookie face-off however due to college commitments.
The thing to keep in mind is these kids are trying to make an NHL roster so they are going to give their all. Keep an eye on these young guys because they are the future of our Los Angeles Kings hockey club.
