The Lakers are 17-3 through 20 games which ties the 1985-1986 and 2008-2009 Lakers teams for the best record in franchise history.
The Lakers have been led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who are both top 5 MVP candidates. The Lakers are playing with enthusiasm and are dominating on both ends of the floor. It’s been a long time since the Lakers were this dominant.
This Lakers team has all the components to win the championship. They have 2 superstar players and a great supporting cast along with experienced coaching staff. The moment will never get too big when you have champions like James and Rondo on the team along with assistant head coach Jason Kidd. The one thing the Lakers need to do is stay healthy. Kyle Kuzma sprained his ankle against the Wizards and is listed day-to-day. Avery Bradley is still out for at least another week with a hairline fracture to his right leg.
The Lakers have gotten by bad teams and have had a miscommunication on defense and way too many turnovers which led to a 14 point loss to the Dallas Mavericks. This loss will be good for the Lakers as they approach this 3 game road trip. The Lakers need to lock in on defense and lessen their turnovers in order to be successful on this road trip.
The Lakers will get to prove to everyone how great they are with a challenging December schedule. The Lakers will play the Denver Nuggets twice along with the Utah Jazz and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Lakers have the Christmas showdown with the LA Clippers. This is all in between sets of 3 and 5 game road trips.
The Lakers will be tested this month and LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be ready to rise to the occasion.
