Bokondji Imama, better known as Boko Imama, has a nose for the net and is a tremendous hockey player.
He knows what got him drafted by Los Angeles but does he have enough to make it to the NHL?

Drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 6th round of the 2015 NHL draft, Imama impressed the Kings enough for them to add the big forward to the team.

The 6’1”, 220 big forward has compiled 4 goals and 14 assists in 50 games for the AHL Ontario Reign, to go along with 134 penalty minutes.

Although the hockey world is put on hold at this moment we do not know when he will get his much-deserved call-up. His contract does expire at the end of this season and the Kings would be smart to sign him to another contract.

He offers so much and is a player you do not see too often in this style of hockey.

In Kyle Clifford’s mold and role of a forward who can contribute offense, get his nose dirty and fight Imama has shown that he can play any type of game the Kings and Reign need out of him. During this turnaround where the Kings need youth, scoring, and physical players he fits the mold of all three.

The Kings need someone to replace what Clifford brought to the table and Imama is head and shoulders the top choice who can fill that role. He has the skills to be a 2nd or third-line winger and even the odd shift on the powerplay or penalty kill. He is a determined player who is destined to make the NHL.

Does he make the NHL next season and when does he become a regular? Don’t be surprised if it is sooner than later.
