During times like these people tend to freak out, with good reason, not only because of the virus itself but because a lot of people do not do well when held inside for long periods of time.
For athletes, it can be a time for rest and relaxation. We wonder what the boys from the Los Angeles Kings have been up to.
The Los Angeles Kings have been busy, or at least as busy as they can be.
About half of the team has used this time to communicate with fans and media via Twitter, Instagram Live, and Zoom.
They have been updating their condition and even chatting with season ticket holders. The Kings have also received workout plans from trainers and fitness coaches from the Kings.
Although some of the Kings have family members who either have Coronavirus or have been affected by it, one to mention is Barb Iafallo, mother of Kings forward Alex Iafallo, is on the front lines, working at Buffalo General Hospital. Alex actually drove all the way to Buffalo to supply her and her co-workers with meals and food. All of the stick taps to Barb Iafallo, and to those working through this tough time and putting their lives on the line.
The world is moving slowly right now but we still have contact with our boys in Los Angeles. Although the NHL officially canceled the 2019-20 season yesterday, they plan on moving on with a 24 team tournament to crown the Stanley Cup champion this year.
This news is tough for Kings fans, as they had quite the winning streak going until the stoppage happened.
Now we wait for the draft to see what bright, young prospect moves into the rich talented prospect pool in Los Angeles.
We need to take a deep breath as hockey is slowly returning.
