Chargers rookie quarterback Justin Herbert has now surpassed two months of being a part of the Bolts’ organization.
COVID-19 prevented the sixth overall pick from really experiencing an authentic off-season, nonetheless as restrictions have lightened in the past month he has been spotted working out with some teammates and fellow NFL players.
The team definitely likes what they see out of Herbert.
He was told by the staff he wouldn’t start week 1, but head coach Anthony Lynn recently stated that they’re going to give him the chance to compete.
Chargers star running back Austin Ekeler did admit Herbert “definitely has a lot to learn” but they like what they’ve seen so far.
This past week, Herbert was spotted working out in the new Chargers helmet, with his number 10 on the side. He has also already been spotted working out with starting tight end Hunter Henry, and other players such as former Notre Dame standout receiver Chase Claypool.
Herbert will be an exciting prospect to watch grow, and it’s expected that he will steal the show this summer on HBO’s “Hard Knocks”.
Hard Knocks will also include the Los Angeles Rams, making it the first season ever that follows more than one team.
