The Los Angeles Chargers have been battling some crucial injury issues in the 2020 regular season thus far, but some key names will be good to go following their bye week in week 6.

Prior to week 6, there was some skepticism around Keenan Allen and Casey Hayward’s health after they seemed to get hurt in the matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Coach Anthony Lynn debunked everyone’s concern by saying they are “fine” and just got banged up in the game.

The bye week came at a crucial time for the Bolts, it gave Keenan Allen a much needed week of rest and the Chargers another week to feel more comfortable with clearing a couple of players from the IR.

The new rules regarding the IR come from the short-lived COVID-19 filled training camp. For this season,  players can come back from IR after 3 weeks. The Chargers brought back Melvin Ingram and Justin Jones from the IR on Monday. This brings back much-needed depth for the defensive line and most importantly takes some pressure off of Joey Bosa by bringing Ingram back on the other side.

The bye week also bought a little time for Chris Harris Jr and Austin Ekeler who are set to return from IR later this season.

These next few games are a must-win stretch if the Chargers want to make the playoffs this season.
The Bolts will be going up against Jacksonville this Sunday, and getting a little healthier can only help.
