This past Sunday the Los Angeles Chargers took a 45-0 loss to the New England Patriots.
This has been one of the most embarrassing losses of the season, if not the most.
The Chargers had a plethora of coaching problems, once again. A huge problem was special teams, where 3 out of the 5 times the Patriots punted, the Bolts couldn’t even line up the right amount of players. There was a field goal blocked and returned for a touchdown, a punt return for a touchdown, and even a 12 men penalty that resulted in an automatic first down for the Patriots. It was awful, and now fans are left with asking what is next.

Clearly, the Chargers will not make the playoffs. It is safe to say Anthony Lynn and probably a lot of other coaches will be fired this off-season. The Chargers need to go big this summer. They moved to Los Angeles for a reason and must make a crucial move. They have to pursue one of the big-name coaching candidates like Robert Saleh or Eric Bieniemy and make a splash in the draft.
Penei Sewell is a name that has attracted a lot of attention from fans because he played with Herbert for most of their tenure at the University of Oregon. Sewell protected Herbert for years, and it could be huge if the Chargers helped out their offensive line by getting the highly coveted tackle prospect.
There are many different avenues the Bolts could take, but the bottom line is this off-season there needs to be a full locker room culture reset, and a fresh start.
