With only a few weeks away from the start of the new season, the Galaxy look to turn the page on the new chapter in their history.
With everything to prove, this is the year that Greg Vanney looks to lay the foundation for what he hopes is the stepping stone to bring the Galaxy back on the road to its former glory.
The project is well underway, as the Galaxy have recently been making several additions to different areas on the roster, in an attempt to make the team more competitive.
A brief analysis of the team’s preseason performances has their matches pretty much even when it comes to wins, losses, and draws, with plenty of room for improvement.
Not to mention Greg Vanney has been using a relatively young starting lineup, with some of the anticipated starters either not available to play.

Record 2W-2T-2L in preseason and scrimmages as of 4/4/2021
We have yet to see a full potential starting XI in the squad, as players are still coming back from serving international duty and finally being cleared to come play in the United States.
It would be interesting to see how well the Chicharito, Jonathan Dos Santos, and Sebastian Lletget adapt to the new winger Samuel Grandsir or even the new veteran Victor Vazquez.
After a disastrous last season, the question has to be asked though…
Are the Galaxy in a position to make a run for the title? Or are they simply a playoff team? Will they even make the playoffs?

We would venture to say that with the important signings made in the backline as well as in goal, there is much more of a sense of security that the playoffs at minimum, will be reached.
At this point, it would be highly unlikely that a repeat of 2020 will occur, as the club still looks to make even more additions to the roster and the number of reinforcements added to different areas of the field. This, of course, is all speculation. What counts is the team cohesion on the field.
Can the Galaxy begin to re-write a new chapter in their storied history?
