Over the past few months, the Los Angeles Kings have been the subject of trade rumors involving a young, all-star center which has recently had issues with his current team.
Will Los Angeles pull the trigger on this, what could be, a blockbuster deal?

Buffalo Sabres center Jack Eichel has been rumored to be on his way out of Buffalo. However, the teams’ performance since his arrival and the latest issues regarding his health and whether or not to have surgery had left a lot to be desired.

One of the teams rumored for his services is the Los Angeles Kings.

These rumors started for several reasons.

1)

One would be the Kings looking for center help behind captain Anze Kopitar.

It is no secret the Kings need help offensively, and Eichel would fit nicely in that second center position.

2)

Second, the Kings want to get younger. Eichel has been in the league a few years and would help the Kings get faster, create more offensively and have another offensive threat. Eichel is only 24 years old and, at 6’2″, he would also give the Kings a big body.

3)

Third, the Kings have cap space to use this summer. A lot of it. They could use that space on one mega move like an Eichel, spread that money around to make several moves and minor, depth moves.

Kings fans would welcome Eichel aboard if the trade went through. However, it makes you wonder what it would take to get a player of his status.

Is general manager Rob Blake Willing to send draft picks, along with top prospects and an everyday player in the lineup to Buffalo for the services of Eichel?
This could work for both teams but do both teams want to pull the trigger?
