The Los Angeles Lakers are a team that has reloaded over the offseason and are one of the favorites to win the 2022 NBA Title.
How can they not be favorites when they have 7 all-star players, 6 of which are considered a sure Hall of Famers, a couple of former MVPs, and a ton of veteran experience on the team.

Talent and experience can only go so far, but will this team be able to come together and get the job done? Chemistry can propel a team to the greatest heights, and this Laker team has already been building their chemistry many years ago.

Let’s look at times a group of this year’s team played together in the past.

Representing your country is always a privilege, and 5 Laker players have had a chance to suit up for Team USA in the past, most notably in 2008 and 2012, where they won Gold Medals.

It might have been quite some time ago, but hopefully, that time playing together for their country can prove crucial to their chemistry together as a team.

  • Beijing 2008: LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard
  • London 2012: LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis

All-Star Teams

The NBA All-Star game is always something to look forward to every NBA season, and this year’s Laker team has had a fair amount of on-time court experience during the midseason classic.

With all that experience together playing on All-Star teams, the stars should look good together on the floor this season.

  • 2010 East: LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo
  • 2011 West: Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook

2020 Lakers

  • LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Rajon Rondo, Dwight Howard

Two years later, the 2020 championship team looks very different. But four core pieces are looking to run it back to win another title this year.

With Frank Vogel at the helm, look at these players to be leaders on and off the court.

With the stars of the Lakers all having playing experience together before, it could mean that good things are coming as the Lakers’ chemistry could be strong off the gates.
