With the Los Angeles Kings struggling to put together wins and score goals, there may be a familiar face that could help them in both departments.
That help is Ontario Reign forward Martin Frk.
Frk is no stranger to NHL ice. He has been there with the Detroit Red Wings, Carolina Hurricanes, and now the Kings. What has hurt him is he never got the best opportunity to prove himself and excel at what he does best, and that is producing offense. However, in the AHL, he has more than proven he has game left.
Frk is putting up points and proving that he is working on his defensive game. Over the past 2 seasons, Frk has played 31 games, scoring 16 goals and adding 18 assists for 34 points. Let us not forget about that hardest shot in the league that he is known for.
If he were to get a call-up, the Kings could use his goal-scoring, even if all he did was set up in the left circle on the power play and rip slapshots.
The Kings need a player who can fire the puck, not just to score goals but also to create opportunities for his teammates. With Betway having the Kings as +10000 favorites to win the Pacific Division, some things surely need to change sooner rather than later.

Although Frk has not had the best success in the NHL (39 points in 118 games), he has the best shot at sticking with the club in Los Angeles. See what he can do with another shot.
He could also give a different look to the team. Aside from his goal scoring, he does have a little bit of sandpaper in his game, and that aspect could come in handy for playoff time.
Why not give him another shot? The move wouldn’t cost the team anything, and the Kings need goal scorers.
In 18 career games with the Kings, he has scored 6 goals and 2 assists for 8 points; this would average out to about a 30 goal season.
Give him another shot to turn this drought around.
