Pre-Season Begins
LAFC kicked off their pre-season for the 2022 MLS season on January 18th. The pre-season is being held at the LAFC performance center. Located at California State University Los Angeles. LAFC comes into their fifth season as one of the MLS leaders with wins (58) , points (206), and goals scored (243). The black and gold kick off their preseason matches against the reigning MLS Supporter Shield Champions. Against the New England Revolution, on January 29th at Banc of California Stadium. After that on February 2nd they will face off against their former boss. As they take on Toronto FC in Irvine. On February 15th they will face DC United in Irvine as well and finish the pre-season against the New York Redbulls in Indio.
LAFC Brings in Top Midfielder
On Friday January 14th LAFC announced the signing of midfielder Kellyn Acosta. Acquiring him from the Colorado Rapids in exchange for $550,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) in 2022 and $550,000 in GAM in 2023. Kellyn was signed by FC Dallas, as a 16 year old. Making his debut when he was just 18! Kellyn was a fundamental piece for the Rapids and made an immediate impact. LAFC fans hope he can also bring the same impact he had with the Rapids. Hopefully Acosta can help improve the midfield and help LAFC achieve their championship dreams.
