The Los Angeles Lakers have been having a very rough season, and Russell Westbrook has been getting the most criticism for not playing to the level the fans are expecting him to.

The former MVP hasn’t found his groove with the Laker team and he isn’t putting up the MVP caliber numbers everyone was expecting.

It seems like fans and maybe even the team have given up on him, but he still goes out every night giving it his all and believing in himself.

These past few games maybe Westbrook has given the Lakers some hope with some stellar games showing that he still can perform at a high level. Here are some notable games from him the past couple weeks.

March 9 vs the Houston Rockets: 30 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists

The Lakers lost this game but this was Westbrook’s first 30 point game in a long time. This was a great game to show that he can still score the basketball at a high level and play an all-around game.

March 18 vs the Toronto Raptors: 22 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists

The highlight of this game was the W and the clutch steal plus  game-tying three pointer to send it to overtime. To add to that he had a triple-double, something he has been known for his career but hasn’t had any later with the Lakers. This game was huge for his confidence.

March 19 vs the Washington Wizards: 22 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists

Sadly the Lakers lost this one in a close one in the end, but he again balled out, almost getting another triple-double in back to back games.

This just goes to show Russell Westbrook can still do it. The Lakers just need to find a way for him to continue this play and get a win while they’re doing it. Let’s see if Westbrook and the Lakers can make one last push in the season and let’s see what they can do in the play-in tournament and the playoffs.
