The 2022 Seasons Comes to an End

LAFC welcomed Nashville for the final home game of the regular season. With the Supporters’ Shield already wrapped up, LAFC had little to play for. For the most part it would be to cement an amazing season. Yet, while LAFC have obtained anouther huge honour it felt like the season ended on a whimper. In their last 10 games LAFC went 4-5-1 and those losses ended up overshadowing the whole season.  While hopefully this slip up is corrected asap, lets hope that this momentum won’t follow them into the playoffs.

Not The End we Expected

It would be a quiet game for the Black and Gold as they welcomed Nashville to close out the season. A first half where they dominated the opposition but could not find the back of the net. Attempt after attempt they were being stopped by Joe Willis. As Willis would end up with a whopping total 14 saves. However, none more would be more important than his penalty save against Chicho Arango  just before the first half ended. As mentioned LAFC had a golden opportunity to take the lead but Chicho would miss from the spot. LAFC  Teal Bunbury would score the games lone goal in the second half. Once again LAFC went on to dominate the half but once again Joe Willis did his thing and prevented LAFC from tying the game. With this loss the season comes to an end and many aren’t confident that LAFC can lift the cup. They won’t play until the 20th of October, giving them a 11 day break. They will face off against the winner of Nashville vs LA Galaxy. Which could set up a possible rematch against Nashville or another chapter of EL Trafico could occur.
