On January 19, Los Angeles Football Club announced a naming partnership with BMO Financial. After four years, LAFC stadium named Banc of California stadium. The home of  LAFC will be renamed BMO Stadium. 

 

In the stadium located in the heart of Los Angeles, the club has signed a ten-year contract worth $100 million total. At roughly 10 million per year, It’s the largest naming rights agreement in MLS history for a soccer stadium. 

 

The reason for the partnership is to strengthen BMO’s commitment to expanding the game of soccer across the United States. 

 

The benefits of BMO Harris Bank arriving at LAFC will assist supporters and the community for the duration of the season as the Exclusive and Official Bank of LAFC. Also, the arrival of BMO will assist  LAFC by uniting with a shared plan for the sport, growing the good in the game. While BMO collaborates with the club, it will help the club deliver a great experience and connect with the supporters. 

 

Not only BMO has signed a partnership with one MLS club and works with other MLS clubs, including CF Montreal, Toronto FC, and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. BMO invested over $25 million to develop, engage and cultivate youth soccer at every level of competition across Canada and the United States in the last 18 years. The bank has helped 150,000 young players in the sport, and BMO has been growing the game across North America, operating as a driving force to make the sport both accessible and fair, creating a new era of talent, leaders, and management.

The stadium opened in 2018 with the debut of LAFC. Since its establishment, LAFC has accomplished an MLS Cup and two Supporters’ Shields and recorded the most wins, points, and goals scored in Major League Soccer 

 

BMO stadium is also home to Angels City Football Club, founded two years ago. Since its founding, in attendance in 2022, averaging more than 19,000 fans per game for its inaugural season. The stadium also hosts numerous concerts and special events.
