LAFC salvaged a point after an entertaining 0-0 draw in Seattle against the Sounders. This was the first game this season where the Black and Gold failed to score a goal.

Stalemate

Both teams had their decent chances in the first half but nothing major. The Sounders came closest to scoring in the first half with a shot from outside the box that hit the post. LAFC spent a good portion of the first half defending in its own half, preventing Seattle from creating any clear chances.

In the second half, both teams opened up more and managed to create more scoring chances. LAFC came close to winning the game late in the second half through Opoku. a missed sitter and a shot saved by Stefan Frei prevented the Black and Gold from getting the three points.

Trouble in Seattle

This was the third draw from LAFC in CenturyLink Field where they have not done well generally. The only win Los Angeles has managed to get there was back in 2018 during LAFC’s first MLS game. Since then, it has been four defeats and three draws for the Black and Gold and only four goals scored in nine matches.

LAFC will return to action this upcoming Saturday when they host FC Dallas at 7:30 p.m.
