After a difficult 2-1 win over 10 men F.C Dallas last Saturday, LAFC will visit Colorado, a place that has not been kind to the Black and Gold. The most memorable matchup there is the 2-5 defeat back in 2021 on Decision Day which made LAFC miss the playoffs for the first time. Here is a preview for Saturday’s game.
Tough place to play
Colorado is not a very kind place for LAFC to play in. The Black and Gold haven’t won a game there since their debut season back in 2018 when they won 3-0. Since then, it has been three straight defeats, not even a draw. The last match there was last season in May where LAFC lost 2-0. But these matches against Colorado is very “home-sided.” While Colorado has dominated the matches against LAFC at home, LAFC has done the same when they’ve played in Los Angeles. LAFC has won all four matches against Colorado when they have played in Los Angeles. In fact, there has never been a draw between these two teams, home or away. So we can most likely expect for one of them to take all three points this weekend.
Players missing
Colorado might be hosting LAFC at one of the worst times possible. The Rapids have four players ruled out for this weekend; Yaya Toure, Moise Bombito, Jack Price and Aboubacar Keita. Colorado also has two more players ruled as questionable; Cole Bassett and Braian Galvan. This already adds to Colorado’s very poor start to the season where they lie last in their conference with only two points, two goals scored and not a single win in five games so far. On the other hand, LAFC has all players available for this weekend.
The match will start at 6:30 p.m. pacific time and is available through MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
