Major League Soccer returns as the Los Angeles Football Club faces the Colorado Rapids this Wednesday.
The game initially slated for last Sunday, August 20, will be postponed due to a tropical storm.

After a disappointing defeat against Monterrey at the Rose Bowl in the Leagues Cup, the Black and Gold need to focus on defending their MLS Cup.

With 11 games remaining, LAFC’s goal is to finish at the top of the Western Conference table.

Since LAFC got eliminated against Monterrey, they had 12 days of rest and training.

Now they need to get the three points and catch Saint Louis.

At the moment, Colorado Rapids sit bottom of the Western Conference table with 19 points. Therefore this game should be an easy game for LAFC on paper. The Rapids only won three games this season, and their last victory was versus FC Dallas.

Before the League Cup, LAFC was in bad form, and they can not underestimate the Colorado Rapids.

This Wednesday, LAFC is boosted by the arrival of Spanish striker Mario Gonzalez who arrives from Portuguese side Braga.

“We’re really excited to get back to MLS football and start the final stretch of games at our place,” said LAFC coach Steve Cherundolo.

Although Cherundolo is excited that MLS football is back, Colorado Rapids coach Robin Fraser will see it as a chance to kick-start their MLS campaign against the MLS Cup holders.
