Los Angeles Football Club loaned defender Mamadou Fall to Football Club Barcelona.
On deadline day, Barcelona signed Fall along with João Félix and João Cancelo.

The deal is a loan with an option to purchase. The option could be worth seven million plus add-ons pending registration and receipt of an international Transfer Certificate (ITC).

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Mamadou to continue in his development at one of the top clubs in the world,” said Co-President and GM John Thorrington.

“All at LAFC are aware of Fall’s incredible potential, and this next step is a testament to his development here at LAFC. We wish him all the best in his continued progress at Barcelona.”

On July 7th, Fall returned to LAFC after completing a one-year loan with Villareal B. During his loan with the Spanish side, he scored three goals and made 25 appearances. He also made two appearances for Villareal’s first team. He played against Girona in La Liga and played versus St. Amalian in the Copa Del Rey.

The Senegal native joined the Black and Gold on June 4. He appeared in a total of 36 matches for LAFC over two and a half campaigns, scoring five goals. Overall, Fall made 42 appearances in all competitions, including six goals and one assist.

Fall was part of the Senegal U17 youth team in 2019.

Now that Fall is going to play and join Barcelona, he will develop, learn new skills, and get some experience. Right now, Barcelona sits third in La Liga and recently beat Osasuna 2-1.

Jules Kounde’s and Robert Lewandowski’s goals were enough to get Barcelona the three points.
Barcelona will take on Real Betis on Saturday 16 after the international break.
