LAFC is back to winning ways and remained unbeaten at home with a convincing 5-0 victory over Nashville at BMO Stadium.

After a problematic patch against Real Salt Lake, Minnesota United, and Sporting Kansas City, during which LAFC conceded five goals, the club now has seven points, leaving the club three points out of the top in the Western Conference.

Denis Bouanga’s brace, Cristian Olivera’s, Edward Atuesta’s, and Timothy Tillman’s goals were enough for LAFC to get the three points. The last time LAFC’s largest margin of regular-season victory was since a 5-0 home win over Charlotte on Aug. 13, 2022; now, the Black and Gold added Nashville to their list.

Tillman got on the scoresheet in the first nine minutes of the first half. Nashville defender Taylor Washington denied an Aaron Long header but was there to find the rebound.

After four games, Bouanga finally got on the scoresheet, and the Gabonese scored his first goal from a penalty kick.

In the second half, LAFC didn’t let go of the gas, and the 2023 Golden Boot Winner was able to curl inside the far post to score 3-0. The game was even better as Nashville goalkeeper Joe Willis got sent off for a handball outside the box.

LAFC continued until the end. Cristian Olivera added the fourth for LAFC, tallying his first goal of the season.

Edward Atuesta scored his first goal since September 2021, scoring 5-0, heading home Bouanga’s cross.

Hugo Lloris now kept a second clean sheet and made one save throughout the 90 minutes against Nashville. He has not conceded a goal from open play and has not allowed one in the last 198 minutes of action at BMO Stadium.

The Black and Gold must keep the ball rolling for their next match against Colorado Rapids before playing against LA Galaxy.
