Clippers’ Offense Makes History
The LA Clippers’ offense has been amazing this past week. The offense has been on point, leading the team in wins and historic streaks.
The team is currently on a four-game winning streak.
Earlier this past week, the Clippers faced Jimmy Butler (on suspension) and the Miami Heat at home. Bam Adebayo, who was sidelined for the Heat, is currently injured.
vs. Miami Heat
LA handled Miami easily throughout the game, winning 109-98. James Harden’s dominant performance in that game proved to be the difference. Harden currently leads the team in assists, averaging eight points per game.
During their game against the Heat, Norman Powell made franchise history. Powell moved up to 8th on the Clipper’s most three-pointers in franchise history. Nico Batum recorded his 1,000 steals against the Heat this past week.
vs. Brooklyn Nets

The following night against the Brooklyn Nets, the Clippers had another historic performance led by their offense. The Clippers also recorded its largest win in franchise history against the Brooklyn Nets. LA demolished the Brooklyn Nets 126-67.
In that game against the Brooklyn Nets, James Harden passed Dominique Wilkins for 15th place on the all-time scoring list. LA went on a 32-3 run in the third quarter, and Kawhi Leonard scored 23 points in the blowout win.
@ Portland Trail Blazers
On the second night of the back-to-back, the LA Clippers went to Portland and took on the Blazers. With Portland struggling this season, LA continued the dominance throughout the game against the Blazers.
Norman Powell, who scored 23 points in the 118-89 win over Portland, contributed greatly. The Clippers also made history. In both back-to-back games, they had a combined +88 point differential, which tied for the largest margin in league history.
vs Los Angeles Lakers
Last night, the Clippers hosted the first game against arch-rival the Lakers. The Clippers took control of the game, led by Norman Powell and James Harden.
Powell had 22 points, and Harden scored 21 points and 12 assists in the 116-102 win over the Lakers.
The Clippers’ offense has improved greatly during their winning streak. Norman Powell’s career year, in which he averages 23.7 points a game, and Kawhi’s slowly becoming the same player, as we all know, are examples.
Defensively, the Clippers are currently one of the best teams in the league. The Clippers have allowed 84.7 points throughout the win streak. The team is built to win under head coach Ty Lue. With the addition of Jeff Van Gundy to the staff this season, the Clippers have become a better team at defense.
Moving forward, the Clippers have a chance to continue to be the best as a team as the all-star break is fast getting closer and the playoffs approach.
The Clippers still lead the Pacific Division over the Lakers by 1 game. It will be very exciting for the rest of the season to see how the Clippers will do as they compete for their first championship.
The Clippers are 15-7 at Intuit Dome, which is due to “The Wall.”
The fans have made the Clippers’ home a tough place for opponents to play.
