After winning week 1 in Brazil against the Chiefs, the Chargers went into Vegas looking to start 2-0 against another key AFC West team in the Raiders.

Both the Chargers and Raiders went back and forth in the 1st half of the game, and later on in the 1st half, the Chargers grabbed a 10-6 lead.

One of the highlights of the Chargers’ win against the Las Vegas Raiders was a 91-yard touchdown drive that took five plays and 2 minutes and 43 seconds off the clock.

Key Takes on Week 2 Win

Cameron Dicker makes history in Vegas

Cameron Dicker made history on Monday night in Vegas against the Raiders. Dicker kicked his 100th career field goal, meaning he is now eligible for the NFL’s all-time field goal percentage list.

Dicker hit a 38-yard field goal on the Chargers’ opening drive for an early 3-0 lead.

Dicker said after the game on making history:

“It’s cool. In the moment, it’s a cool thing, and it’s going to be a huge honor for me.”

Looking Ahead for Week 3 Against Denver

The Chargers are looking to go 3-0 and continue the win streak against the Denver Broncos. The Chargers also wrapped up a three-game stretch of playing divisional teams to open the season. This marks the first time since the 2022 Saints, when they opened the season with 3 games against NFC South teams.

With a win on Sunday, the Chargers would send a message to all of the AFC West teams that they are the team to beat in the AFC West!

The last time the Chargers won their first 3 AFC West games in a season was 1996.

Khalil Mack, who suffered an elbow injury on Monday night, is expected to miss a couple of weeks, hopefully not a whole lot, as he is recovering.
