Clippers Kawhi Leonard Named 2026 NBA All-Star
Clippers fans are excited not only to have the NBA All-Star game coming to the Intuit Dome, but also, more importantly, to see Kawhi Leonard playing in front of home fans.
The Clippers forward was selected to the 2026 NBA All-Star game by commissioner Adam Silver on Tuesday.
The 75th NBA All-Star game will feature two U.S. teams and one international team, each consisting of at least eight players.
After the initial 24 All-Stars were selected, Leonard was added to bring the total number of U.S. All-Stars to 16, the minimum required under the format.
Kawhi Leonard has been averaging a career-high 27.6 points (7th in the NBA). Kawhi has also been averaging 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and a league-leading 2.06 steals in 36 games.
Kawhi Leonard also had a 55-point game performance on Dec.28 against the Detroit Pistons.
Kawhi Leonard has been on a roll the last couple of weeks, which helped the Clippers climb back into the play-in position and, hopefully, a playoff spot too.
The Clippers, who were 6-21 back in December, went on a 17-5 pace, now 23-26, and the team sits at 9th in the West.
