Major Question for Chargers This Offseason: Odafe Oweh
With the Super Bowl approaching and most NFL teams in their offseason, getting ready for free agency and changes, the Chargers have already made one major change for next season.
With Mike McDaniel in as the Offensive coordinator, the Chargers’ next big question heading into the offseason is a key player they traded for: EDGE Odafe Oweh.
Edge rusher Odafe Oweh is one of the most promising players and is going to be a free agent. The Chargers traded for him from the Ravens back in October. Oweh recorded an 81.6 PFF pass-rush grade with 39 pressures across 13 games with the Chargers.
Oweh struggled to produce in his 4 seasons in Baltimore but found success after being traded to the Chargers this past season.
If the Chargers want to bring him back, expect them to sign him at a projected value of a three-year, $57.9 million contract, according to Spotrac.
Along with Oweh, the Chargers also have a decision to make with Khalil Mack. The 35-year-old will be considering hanging up the cleats after 12 illustrious NFL seasons.
This is just one of the many roster decisions and questions the Chargers will have to answer this offseason.
