The 2026 NFL Offseason Begins

With the Super Bowl over, it is now officially the offseason for the NFL.
Every team, including the Los Angeles Chargers, is already busy and preparing for next season.
There are many changes across every team, including the Chargers, that the coaching staff, the front office, and the roster will make.
Here are important dates to look forward to now that it’s the offseason.
Key NFL Offseason Dates
February 23-March 2 // NFL Combine
Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium. It’s a seven-day event where teams can evaluate the numerous players eligible for the NFL draft. From 40-yard-dash times to interviews with this year’s prospects going to the draft.
March 9-11 // Legal Tampering Period
It is what’s been referred to as the “legal tampering period.”
Teams can contact potential unrestricted free agents and negotiate with those players starting at Noon ET on the ninth and up until 3:59ET on March 11.
April 23-25 // 2026 NFL Draft
NFL draft. The draft will take place in Pittsburgh. The Chargers have the 22nd overall selection.
The exact draft order for the three-day event has not yet been officially finalized, as compensatory picks have not been announced.
With the offseason already underway, there’s going to be a lot of movement and change for Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers if they want to take the next steps and make a deep run in the Super Bowl.
